Tony Conner is a dedicated law enforcement leader with over 25 years of experience in policing and labor advocacy. He began his career with the Omaha Police Department in July 2000 as a Patrol Officer. In 2019, he was promoted to Sergeant, his current rank.

Throughout his career, Tony has been deeply involved in police union leadership. He was elected to the executive board of the Omaha Police Officers’ Association (OPOA) in 2011, served as Vice President starting in 2014, and was elected President of the OPOA from 2018 to 2024. In 2024, he was elected President of the Nebraska Fraternal Order of Police State Lodge, a position he continues to hold.

In addition to his law enforcement and union roles, Tony serves on the board of the Center for Workforce Development and Education (since 2022) and the Omaha Federation of Labor (since 2021). He is committed to advancing public safety, supporting law enforcement professionals, and strengthening workforce development initiatives in his community.
