Alicia is the Family Support Coordinator for the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, providing support and connections to employees and their families. Alicia is also the Family Support Coordinator for the Colorado Fallen Hero Foundation supporting families of fallen officersthroughout Colorado.
Alicia supports the families of fallen officers in Colorado, offering one-on-one assistance andorganizing events to foster connection and healing.
In 2019, Alicia founded Beyond the Badge, bothan LLC. and 501c3 which provides training and family support to agencies across the country.
With a background as a Dispatcher and Deputy Sheriff, along with being the daughter and spouse of law enforcement officers, she has a deep understanding of the challenges police families face.
She also serves as a Subject Matter Expert for the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) and teaches the Valor Resilience Programnationwide.
Previously, Alicia was the Family Liaison for the Aurora Police Department, where she developed training programs and helped establish one of the first Family Academies in the country. Alicia continues to support law enforcement families through events, education, and resources, helping them navigate the challenges of police life.
